Hello,

I'm new to this Forum. I have searched for this topic, but couldn't find anything related. I apologize in advance if this has been asked before. 

I noticed that for the pre-grant application data, an application id can be linked to multiple document numbers. How should I think about cases like this? Are they reassignments of owners? Thank you so much!

Hello, good question.  An application can be divided which would be why an application can have multiple document IDs. Here's the USPTO lists of reasons why a application can be divided:

I have a follow-up question (sorry if I should have started a new post). I notice that a lot of location ids (in both the rawassignee file and rawlocation file) are not matched to any country code. And by constructing the aggregate trend of patent application in the US, it seems that missing country code occurs more often post 2013. Is there any way I could retrieve the country information? Thanks so much!
