Patent history dataset

Hello to the community, 

first I would like to say - great job on this awesome project! It works great and is very clear for developers (unlike other API's out there). 

I was wondering if there is (or will be) a way to get a specific patent history data based on the patent_number\patent_id?

This will be super helpful in my opinion.

I don't think the api returns the history or status.  PVTeam can reply if there are plans to do so.  The database is built from the bulk xml files, as the patents were on their issue date.  Public pair would show the history and status  but  I don't think there is an api for it.

PATENT HISTORY FROM PATENTSVIEW FILES

PatentsView bulk downloads available on the data download page are all of granted patents, however, PatentsView does have pre-grant patent applications data available by request. Most patents applications are granted or abandoned within 5 years time, but our pre-grant dataset does not remove "abandoned" patent applications so the only way to track status is to match pre-grant applications to their granted counterparts in the other dataset and treat all unmatched patents as either in process or abandoned. 

If/when patent status data becomes available from USPTO, PatentsView will surely incorporate it!
