Gender attribution threshold values

The webpage Gender Attribution of U.S. Patent Holders and the appendix for “Progress and Potential: A profile of women inventors on U.S. patents” do not list the thresholds for attributing gender using country-level percentages. They both list thresholds for specific countries with Asian names (India, Republic of Korea, China, etc.). However, I cannot find the threshold values for countries outside this list (ideally, these thresholds would be listed somewhere between steps 8-10). Are the country-level threshold values (which I presume are generated using the WGND dataset) the same as listed in step 2 (which were set using the IBM-GNR dataset)? Thanks.

Hello! The authors responded…

Hello! The authors responded that they are developing a working paper that details these bits of information, but it isn’t ready yet. The working paper is in progress and will include robustness tests on the below thresholds.

The probability thresholds for attributing gender are:

China - 60%

India – 90%

Korea – 80%

Non-Asian – 97%

Great, thank you. Does "non-Asian" mean countries that are not China/India/Korea, or does it actually exclude all Asian countries?

Looking forward to reading the working paper!
