I noticed in the data that for some patents the application data is missing. I looked it up in the Forum discussions and found this thread: https://patentsview.org/forum/8/topic/707

This thread seems to indicate that there is not application data before 2001.

When working with 09_30_2023 release data, I do find the pre-2001 application data for some inventors but not for others.

For example:

- inventor "fl:be_ln:mcfarland-2" has the granted patent in 2001 but this patent is not found in the application data. 

- inventor "05b8gm94dcxoyogqb6pzf1v78" has the granted patent in 1995 and it is found in the application data with the filling date of 1993.

So it looks like the blanket rule of application data not being available before 2001 doesn't seem to apply.

What could be the reason that the granted patent is not found in the application table?

Like mentioned, this is based on the data in 09_30_2023 release
