Lawyer data for pre-grant applications

Dear Patentsview team,

It's great to see all the data on rejected/non-granted applications up on the website these days. I was wondering whether it was possible to access information on the applications' lawyers (for the non-granted patents) as well.

Would appreciate any tips/help you might be able to provide!

Hello! Have you tried linking the application table to the lawyer table using the patent_lawyer crosswalk table? You can join them on the fields that make sense using the data dictionary for granted patents.  This is one way to get the information you are looking for about lawyers from what we have on granted and pre-grant patent data.

Thanks so much for getting back to me! 

But the patent_lawyer crosswalk only links to granted patents, right? I'm specifically interested in figuring out which lawyers worked on patent applications that never got granted. Can that be found out somehow?

That is a great question! So far, there is not lawyer information available on published pre-grant patent applications. If the data becomes available, we will include it into our disambiguation efforts!
